Anti-Gay Lutheran Pastor Tom Brock is Gay
A Lutheran pastor ardently critical of allowing gays into the clergy is on leave from his Minneapolis church after a gay magazine reported his attendance at a support group for men struggling with same-sex attraction.
Church officials, however, said Wednesday that the Rev. Tom Brock likely will return to the pulpit at Hope Lutheran Church because he acted in accordance with his faith by attending the group. (ARTICLE)

New laws aimed at curbing illegal migration in the Caribbean have left thousands of first generation Dominicans unable to work, study or travel. Authorities there in charge of issuing documents no longer recognize them as citizens, even though the Constitution does. Many say it is because of the colour of their skin. In the first part of our series on race and racism in Latin America, Al Jazeera's Lucia Newman reports from the Dominican Republic.

US Taxpayers Are Paying The Taliban
U.S. taxpayers' dollars are finding their way in to the pockets of the Taliban. That's according to a new congressional investigation about the military's use of Afghan security firms to ensure the safe passage of supply convoys. Almost without fail: if the U.S. doesn't pay up, the convoy gets attacked.
