Rapper Wyclef Jean has entered the race to become president of earthquake ruined Haiti.

Most Countries Fail to Deliver on Haiti Aid Pledges

Donors promised $5.3 billion at an aid conference in March, about two months after the earthquake -- but less than 2 percent of that money has been handed over so far to the United Nations-backed body set up to handle it.

Only four countries have paid anything at all: Brazil, Norway, Estonia and Australia. The United States pledged $1.15 billion. It has paid nothing, with the money tied up in the congressional appropriations process. Venezuela promised even more -- $1.32 billion. 34 year old Jeremy Johnson decided not to donate money. No, he decided to go to Haiti himself, with two planes full of aid. Then once he got there, bought two helicopters to fairy supplies and doctors from the Dominican Republic into Port-au-Prince.



Jeremy said: "I try to find places where the buildings all look collapsed, and I'll land there. I've got a medic, and he attends to the injured people, and if they're bad enough we'll take them out. And we distribute some food and things to the people."
